Grammy Awards 2022 postponed due to Omicron variant spread.
Grammy awards presented by the Recording Academy to recognize “Outstanding Achievement in the music industry” of the United States and the world of entertainment. The trophy depicts a gilded gramophone. The Grammys are the first of the Big Three networks’ major music awards held annually.
The current year’s Grammy Awards service regarding top exhibitions in music has been deferred endlessly in view of the quick spread of the Omicron variation of the Covid, coordinators said on Wednesday.
The show had been booked to happen at a field in midtown Los Angeles and broadcast live on the CBS network on Jan. 31.
“Given the vulnerability encompassing the Omicron variation, holding the show on January 31 just holds back such a large number of dangers,” CBS and the Recording Academy said in a joint assertion, adding that another date would be declared soon.
