Tanzanian Bongo Flava artist and music entrepreneur Rajab Abdul Kahali, popularly known by his stage name Harmonize (32) is undoubtedly claimed the throne of the king of Afro East.
Afro East is according to Harmonize is more of a genre for his music and music from East Africa besides the artist in 2018 created Afro East one of Harmonize’s projects that showcased his ability to seamlessly fuse Afropop with Singeli and Bongo.
The artist took the first track on the album, a mid-tempo number titled “Bedroom”, by himself. He then jumps onto the bouncy track “Your Body” with ‘African Giant’ Burna Boy while exploring an infectious instrumental on “Pain” with the inimitable Yemi Alade. Recruiting Mr Eazi and Falz on “Move”, Harmonize makes use of some ominous-sounding synths while “Rumba”, which features Skales and DJ Seven, is definitely a standout track with a strong dance element. This was a success and fans should expect more from him, Harmonize told our reporter.
His long time friend and music partner Eddy Kenzo is holding a his first festival in Kampala and over the weekend, the Big Talent Entertainment boss Eddy Kenzo confirmed that the Konde Gang CEO will be gracing the stage at the festival via instagram.
“I am gonna be in Uganda for the Kenzo festival so tell your friends on 12th November, your boy is coming. My Ugandan people, let’s meet, let’s have fun. See you there. This is Konde Boy, Tanzania’s number one.
